Etoile du Sahel Keep Their Hopes Alive

Etoile du Sahel have kept their hopes of African Champions League semifinals qualification alive with a comfortable 2-0 win over Zimbabwe’s Monomotapa in Group B action on Saturday night.
The win moves the Tunisians to within two points of second-placed TP Mazembe, with a trip to Lubumbashi still to come in the final round of pool fixtures.
Monomotapa only arrived in the country 24 hours before the match after transport difficulties and in truth never looked in the match.
Mosaab Sassi settled the nerves of the home side with a goal after 11 minutes, Gelson Silva added a second 11 minutes into the second half.
Heartland have already qualified from Group B as the their 2-0 win over TP Mazembe earlier in the day means they may be caught by either the Congolese or the Tunisians on the final day of matches, but not both teams.
