Former Morocco World Cup star Aziz Bouderbala has been appointed as the new coach of champions Wydad Casablanca after last week’s surprise departure of Portuguese coach Jose Romao. Bouderbala, who played for the North Africans at the 1986 World Cup finals in Mexico where they reached the second round, will take charge for the rest of the season, club officials said. Romao left last week ahead of Wydad’s weekend assignment in the MTN CAF Champions Leaue after a row with officials over the club’s decision to loan their first choice goalkeeper |

Nadir Lemyaghri to Qatar for the next four months. Bouderbala started his career at Wydad before going on to play in Switzerland and France. He had returned to Morocco at the end of his career to serve as technical director of the Casablanca club. | ||||||
